June Belongs to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Communio CDA is honored to launch the 2026 Sacred Heart billboard campaign in North Idaho — in communion with the Catholic faithful across our region.
Last year marked the first-ever Sacred Heart billboard campaign in North Idaho, inspired by the national initiative led by America Needs Fatima. While Communio CDA hosted and organized the effort, it was truly the Body of Christ becoming one — parishes and parishioners working together to build up the Kingdom of God.
Catholics from St. Thomas, St. Joan of Arc, St. Pius X, St. George, St. Joseph, St. Stanislaus, and Immaculate Conception united across parish boundaries with one shared proclamation:
The Heart of Jesus burns with love for North Idaho.
Now, we are coming together again — not as separate communities, but as one Church.
Why the Sacred Heart?
Devotion to the Sacred Heart dates back to the 1300s and was powerfully spread through St. Margaret Mary Alacoque in the 1600s. Yet in today’s culture, this devotion is often overlooked. In 1856 Pope Pius IX designated Feast of the Sacred Heart for the universal Church, following Corpus Christi– since then June has been devoted to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
The Sacred Heart is not simply an image — it is the visible sign of Christ’s mercy, His burning love, and His desire to renew families, parishes, and communities.
As Pope John Paul II said:
“For evangelization today, the Heart of Christ must be recognized…”
We believe North Idaho needs to see that Heart again.
2026 Campaign Vision
Communio CDA is coordinating this year’s campaign as a shared mission for our entire Catholic community.
Our goal is to raise $14,000 to secure 7 billboards running from June 1st – July 15th throughout:
Coeur d’Alene
Post Falls
Hayden
Dalton Gardens
Along I-90
Along US-95
Thousands will encounter a public witness of Christ’s love simply in their daily routine.?
This is not about one ministry.
It is not about one parish.
It is about the Church in North Idaho standing together as one.
