Empowering the Catholic Community.

What is Communio?

Communio is an Apostolate dedicated to inspiring, uniting, and discipling Catholics in Northern Idaho.

We are a non-profit 501c3 organization with the purpose of uniting and empowering the Catholic community in Coeur d’Alene and beyond. By fostering authentic relationships with God, building fellowship within the Catholic community, and equipping believers to share the Gospel, Communio CDA seeks to transform lives and strengthen the Church.

Communio works in union with the Diocese of Boise and the Pastors of the North Idaho Catholic community.

Communio’s Pillars

INSPIRE

  • Inspiring our community to grow in faith and fellowship through the following:

    • Praise and intercession nights

    • Large community events, including retreats for men, women, and youth.

    • Community small groups..

  • We envision a community rooted in prayer, where Catholics regularly encounter Christ through worship, intercession, and gatherings. Over time, these prayer gatherings and retreats will become catalysts for a deep spiritual renewal in North Idaho and beyond.

UNITE

  • Uniting our community by engaging in service to build the Kingdom of God.

    • Impactful community service projects.

    • Public Eucharistic processions to witness and celebrate faith.

    • Building bridges of engagement across the tri-parish community in North Idaho.

    • Encouraging a culture of hospitality that transcends parish boundaries, making everyone feel seen, known, and loved.

  • We envision a unified Catholic community where people unite in relationship regardless of parish boundaries. Communio CDA will foster a culture of belonging, hospitality, and mutual support that strengthens the fabric of our Catholic faith

DISCIPLE

  • Journeying alongside those seeking spiritual guidance and a deeper relationship with Christ.

    • Establishing prayer teams to engage in personal or family prayer for healing and transformation.

    • Offering youth mentorship through one-on-one relationships.

    • Providing individualized sacramental preparation in collaboration with families and parishes.

  • We envision a community where individuals are accompanied on their spiritual journey and empowered to grow in their relationship with Christ. Communio CDA will foster real transformation, offering prayer, mentorship, and sacramental preparation that nurtures a vibrant faith and equips members to become faithful disciples and witnesses of the Gospel
